The site sits directly to the north of the development boundary for Worcester City and the housing allocation in the South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP) – Policy SWDP45/4: Gwillams Farm, Worcester North Urban Extension.
The South Worcestershire Councils, i.e. Malvern Hills, Worcester and Wychavon started a review of the SWDP in late 2017, in response to Government requirements, which state that Local Plans should be updated every five years.
The SWDP Review Preferred Options document was consulted upon between 4th November to 16th December 2019. Policy SWDP NEW EDGE 1 proposes the allocation of the site for housing with an indicative number of dwellings of 74 on a site measuring 3.09 hectares.
PDR Planning is working with the South Worcestershire Councils to deliver this identified housing allocation.
